Eunju Park - A Life of Harmony between Music and Painting.

Excelling in multiple disciplines that serve as both passions and essential needs of our humanity is a rare and incredibly motivating blessing. This is precisely what Eunju Park achieves with remarkable talent, skillfully intertwining her career as a musician with that of a painter.

Born in the heart of Seoul, she has lived and studied in South Korea, Canada, and France. This multicultural richness is reflected in her art, deeply rooted in her heritage but also radiating with openness to the world.

From a young age, she demonstrated exceptional artistic aptitude, particularly in playing the cello. After completing her studies with distinction at the prestigious Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, she embarked on a journey to Paris for nearly a decade, where she honed her skills under renowned Masters such as Mstislav Rostropovitch, Xavier Gagnepain, Philippe Muller, Florian Lauridon,  the Ysaye Quartet... There, she tirelessly immersed herself in concerts and museums, bearing witness to the vibrant Parisian cultural scene.

Following numerous accolades, including the 1st prize at the Turin International Competition and the 1st prize at the Paris Chamber Music Competition, she joined the most prestigious Korean symphony orchestra: the "Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra" in 2005, and founded the "Gaïa Quartet" to share her warm and elegant sound in the world's most renowned concert halls. She regularly performs as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Italia Festival Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Les Violons de France, and in chamber music with partners like Myung-whun Chung, Emmanuel Pahud, Jonathan Fournel, Philippe Muller, the Ysaye Quartet, Patrick Zygmanowski...

Her multiple musical successes have never diverted her from her other creative passion, which allows her to capture the sound emotion through a universe of colors and forms.

Eunju Park possesses unique attributes that enable her to fully express herself through these two artistic languages: she is both synesthetic, multilingual, and ambidextrous. This remarkable combination allows her to see music in colors and understand its syntax with agility.

In 2023, as the creator of the interactive and multisensory exhibition "Korean Color Symphony", she did a solo exhibition with forty of her works in Paris under this concept, which she now exports in various forms around the world.

Throughout her extensive travels, Eunju Park has collaborated with renowned artists on every continent, thereby harnessing her dual talent in service of artistic emotion and the pursuit of universal harmony. Her correlation between music and painting transcends mere aesthetic juxtaposition; it reveals a genuine fusion of senses and emotions, inviting everyone to explore the multiple dimensions of art.
